Limestone Coffee & Tea

I love a good local coffee shop. I have yet to ever be disappointed in one. Located right by one of the bridges that cross over the Fox River in Batavia, Limestone Coffee & Tea is a great local coffee shop. Located right in one of the downtown corners of Batavia, it is a great spot if you're out walking around and just need a little pick-me-up. I went to Limestone on November 1st and they still had their Halloween drinks available. That morning I decided to keep up the Halloween spirit and give it a whirl and try their Mummy Latte. The latte was flavored with caramel, hazelnut, and coconut. Maybe I'm just weird, but I freaking love coconut flavoring in coffee. I've had it in a few different brews and I've enjoyed the way the tropical flavor mixes with the robustness of the coffee beans. This latte was so good! I was so glad I took a chance on something where I would have never put those flavors all together in one drink.

I also decided to pick up a treat for myself and my husband. I grabbed their coffee cake muffins and they were so good. It was the perfect size and both myself and my husband enjoyed them immensely. Even though inside eating isn't allowed currently in our county, I could tell that Limestone has a great ambiance about it. It is definitely a place where you would want to sit and enjoy your coffee, people watch, and maybe even do some nature sighting as you're right over the river.

The employees were, friendly, helpful, and all-around great. They were in high spirits despite the fact that we are in another lockdown. They greeted everyone with a cheerful tone and the place was super clean.

Currently, they only have take-out available, but it is worth it to take the time to drive out there and treat yourself to a coffee from them. And if you live too far away from Limestone, support your own local coffee shop! See what they have to offer and I assure you, you won't be disappointed.
